For those with a tendency to look back fondly on the past, this gift voucher from Experience Mad offers the chance to fly in one of the most popular light aircraft of the 1930s and 40s. Take off from your choice of five UK venues in the elegant De Havilland Tiger Moth, the gold standard for WWII RAF flight training. Fly for 20 minutes for just £179.

You may take your vintage flying lesson at any of a number of flying schools around the South of England, including the famous Duxford Aerodrome, with its nearby Imperial War Museum, and Redhill in Surrey, which is well known as one of the most popular training sites in the country.

The Tiger Moth flights offer the most authentic taste of vintage flying, with its characteristic open-air cockpit. Many flight schools offer vintage pilot gear, so you can get kitted out in genuine Biggles-style goggles and jacket.

During your flight, you’ll have the chance to get your hands on the controls and fly the plane yourself – a truly unforgettable experience. If you’ve never felt the thrill of soaring through the sky with the wind in your hair, you really need to try it!
