The Robinson R22 is a highly regarded helicopter, and you’ll get excellent one-to-one tuition in it from this highly regarded flight school. Handily placed for the M5 near Gloucester, their expert pilots are waiting to show you all the basics.

They will, of course, begin with a safety briefing, before you get into the helicopter to go over the controls. Once your instructor has performed the thrilling vertical takeoff, those controls will become your to put your new knowledge into practice!

Once back on the ground you’ll get a commemorative certificate to remember your amazing flying experience.

The airport at Staverton is fantastic hub for aviation, with the nearby M5 providing access to flying facilities within easy reach of the Midlands, Wales and the South West of England. Originally opened as an RAF base in 1931, the airfield is now home to numerous flying clubs offering experiences in a range of aircraft - and with £6 million to be invested over the next 10 years, it looks set to go from strength to strength.
